Tambunan Tower

Nahhh This one also LAMAAAAA(been awhile) wanted to post but well…

So last time without planning we decided to spend our weekend out from Kota Kinabalu area but still within radius that you can go back home before the day end. We chose the famous tower for this year since its VISIT TAMBUNAN for Sabah 2017. Some called them Sinurambi Tower some just call it the Tambunan Tower. Oh before I proceed Tambunan is within 1 hour drive begitulah from Kota Kinabalu through Penampang route. Did you know you can GO TAMBUNAN through Keningau and Ranau too? Hehe in 2015 me and my cousins went to Keningau from Papar to Tambunan and Ranau where we went to Mahua Waterfall and Tandem Paragliding at Ranau. (Will share about it next time).

So this famous tower where if you search on instagram and Facebook…theres a lot of photo on this tower. But little that we know….on how the route to reach that place…BY CAR. I saw that you can hike here too but not very sure on the route path lah~ So bah WAZE lah apa lagikan!

It was very funny..scary and tiring to find this place that mana lagi our internet line not very good that day. We still didn’t wanna ask the villagers haha…BANTINGAL kan (STUBBORN). I think the first time the waze confused us to the route to Keningau-Tambunan famous hiking place astagahhhhh~~Maybe it was our internet line that its been delaying the direction order. Takkan maw hike with this attire haha and with this short time. That time the clock ticking 2pm ka hahahaha.

Nevertheless, we didn’t give up…yet. Almost lah. Waze confused us again to very grable route with lots of cow and very quiet place. I guess…thats the route for the hiking maybe. Poor my car. Haha kesian tu Axia 1.0. We nearly give up but after went back to the Town I saw things like WAKID (Sabahan Traditional Basket the one like you use to pick the tea leaves) on top of the veryyyyyy high hill~~ alaaa I said..can ka my car go there. But I remember in peoples photo that theres car parking near the tower..so we decided to go and try again but we decided to use the main road to TRUS MADI area ka tu the name. Yang got homestay di bawah2 hahaha…and one of the path for Tambunan Charity Run tu.

Againnnnnnnnnnnn…Waze line was not good for my Maxis and Digi that time so we missed the junction labelled Trus Madi something2…I forgot the name. And ended up attttttttttt

DEAD END wahhhhh SCARY GILA. SUMARAT2 sia

But then I said…got people enter the junction we missed earlier..lets follow even though my travel buddy said JANGANLAH (Lets not) but I insist. Nahhhh baru jumpa the SIGNAGE. Why bah the signage not from the Town huhuhuhuhuhuh or we didn’t see them? But again the road are very grable but I think they will fix it later since theres another construction nearby tower perhaps a homestay?

Bah if motorcycle and my axia can go up the hill…yakin saja ok???

The view? MMM….haha bolehlah. But the tower…I love them~~

Heres my photo~~and after that we went back home through Tambunan-Ranau route hahahahahaha

WARUNG POKDI KELATE (KELANTAN FOOD)

Well…its been quite a long hiatus haha…I have been wanting to update on this entry…

Warung PokDi Kelate…my friend had been suggesting me to eat here but since I don’t always eat at Sepanggar area so just last month I managed to go and try. When I reached there…a lot of Peninsular Malaysia’s people were having their meal there too not to mention college students~~when I came there it was very crowded haha…but we managed to get ourselves seats lah.

The staff there were very alert and efficient. We ordered Nasi Kerabu of course! Also some satay and coconut shake. When I already ordered..and feel very full then just I saw the Teh Tarik Madu which my Kelantanese friend always post on Facebook…why lahhhh next timelah! Haha…You can go and check their Facebook Page too! Drools~~

The location is at Sulaman Central the left junction before the T junction trafficlight of Indah Permai if you are from 1Borneo Direction. It is located at the very corner side. We easily find it even at first time.

I really like the chicken taste of their Nasi Kerabu hehe…the Satay also one stick pun capatttt ko kanyang (easily full) hahaha…basarrrr (big)… for the coconut shake I rather have the concentrated milk to be milder since it overtake the taste of the coconut but still a thumbs up!~~~the price was affordable too!

Heres some photo from us!

PANTAI BATU LUANG, KUALA PENYU

Aloha! Been awhile since my last post on places kan? So on this post I’m gonna blog on one of now viral beach in Sabah…at my hometown. Kuala Penyu!! Kuala Penyu…actually quite many locals doesn’t now about this place but they will know if you say : Ala dakat sana Beaufort bah (Not far from Beaufort)…then they’ll go…ohhhhhhh…

First Kuala Penyu was viral about the Tempurung Seaside Lodge but I’m not gonna blog on that. For those rajin follow the IG KKCITY you guys definitely saw photo on

BATU LUANG BEACH kan???

I called it the hidden gem. During my childhood we often went to other beaches like Sawangan and Mansud.  Kuala Penyu isn’t that big no matter where you go you will go back to the same point haha aka will not get lost plus with the help of WAZE nowadays. We go round and round last time and saw this… kinda Bali look alike to me hahahaha or I call our own Krabi kononnya la. Yep its Batu Luang!

You can search on stories about this beach; its really interesting …they have some difference in the story but ended up quite the similar and even my mom told the same story. That one you should google up the Blog who post on this hehe. You will end up with more interesting stories of Kuala Penyu.

Even though we discovered this beach few years back but we only get the chance to stop the car and really went there last June. What so funny is instead of taking the route from Kayul there we actually take the route from the town hahahaha…we did passed by this beach but we arent so confident about it so we just go on and on and ended up at? Menumbok hahahaha can go Labuan already….should have on the Waze. You can take the junction on your right side if you are from Kayul (the turtle roundabout) not far from Rumbia Information Center (Another must visit place at Kuala Penyu-NO I not yet went there just my other family member-so sad kan).

It just takes you few minutes to reach there from the junction but of course 2 hours from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Penyu la kan or shorter if you didn’t stopped by any place or drive quite fast (BUT PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY OK?).

When try on Waze you either type BATU LUANG or PANTAI BATU LUANG. Google Map can do too! But last time I used Google Map (Pantai Batu Luang) while my other family used Waze.

For me, this place is magnificient for photoshoot but please make sure to not pollute this beach kay??? Appreciate the mother nature. So heres some photo we have captured using phone hahahah! Oh during sunset there will be quite some numbers of tourist..we went earlier and did not wait for sunset. For the green algae view (I just called it algae randomly haha) I think you should wait for the right weather la.

Enjoy! Oh before I forget...the car only stop at the hill side and you need to go down to reach the beach BY FOOT kay?

ARMY NAVY BURGER + BURRITO KK, IMAGO

When posting about this I remember my cousin said

Girl (the name they called me), kau sudah cuba Army Navy ka? Macam sedap o…
She asked have I tried Army Navy food as it look tasty.

I replied her; tempat apaitu ahaha…(I have no idea where is that place)

She go on further saying; Bilang food blogger (She mockingly said how should I did not know about this place ahahahaahha since I love food)

I told her I seldomly go Imago. Yes its at Imago next to Tavern and not far from Morganfield’s and the famous Souled Out. I heard that this food place was originate from Philippines?

Its kinda like Mexican food? Correct me if I am wrong hehe. Asal nachos mesti Mexican d kepala. Yep nachos..burritos…tortilla…suddenly I remember my game (Dinner Dash haha).

So here goes my review…

Order is at the counter..you can pick the more saving set/combo added up with the sides/ala carte. For me the price is reasonable and affordable =). You can have a look at the menu in the photo I have taken.

The staff were friendly and efficient so thumbs up!

We tried the combo of chicken burger with fries & combo of beef burger with fries as suggested by the staff with ala carte of nachos haha. The drinks for this combo is either Coke or Libertea.

In summary…I LOVE the NACHOS! Crunchiness maintain! The burger was moist and taste good but does not give me the WOW…BUT perhaps their strength will be the nachos etc. It taste great! I might be bias because I love Bell’s burger (Food Truck) and Madben’s burger hahahaah! So you guys have the comments! But the nachos..you should try. When I have a burger…I am very particular on the patty and sauce.

The libertea taste like ice lemon tea to me but it complement the combo! ^_^

Will come again next time to try other menu. But not in nearest time as I rarely go Imago because we always have no luck with parking hahaha unlike my other family.

Photos below….

Tamparuli Food

Hello! FYI, even though my hometown is Kuala Penyu for now I am staying at Tamparuli but will soon move out hehe. So here some food you can look for here.

The famous kuih bulan c angkol baine hahahaha

We really love his kuih bulan aka I guess apam balik? I will let the photo speak for themselves.

You can request without peanuts or a thinner kuih bulan too-Angkol(uncle) will know!!

It has been since her childhood said my 33 years old food buddy! So lama already! You can look for him at the town at the local Pasar where you can find other local delicacies too …the Pasar is just nearby with the FAMOUS TAMPARULI SUSPENSION BRIDGE / JAMBATAN TAMPARULI!

We certainly love the thinner version with peanut!

Another food we just had here was the Pizza at the new shoplot not far from the route to Ranau (Pineapple roundabout/Bulatan Nanas). It was early Sunday morning that we decided to have breakfast outside. So we found this food place and was actually about to order the AYAM GOLEK (a type of chicken dishes) but they not yet prepared it so we had their PIZZA…

Ada Pizza O Kami bilang hahaha…

Comments??

Crust was perfectly done…but the topping will be perfect if the chicken was perhaps grilled to brownish maybe?? OR ratio of chicken and cheese be measure back? But loving the crust definitely!!! Drinks was perfect too! We had Teh C Ping and Kopi O Ping. Next time will come for the Ayam Golek hahaha. No matter what we finished every slices hahaha! 4 slices each for us. Me and my food buddy.

RESTORAN TERAPUNG FAZDLA

So Tuaran has this viraled place to be visit ala Cowboy place where you can ride horses and have a walk around the mangrove tree. They called Sabandar Leisure Rides located not far from Tuaran town. No, I am not gonna talk about that place but rather let say you plan to go fishing after that or want to have other food other than the food provided at Sabandar Leisure Rides, you can go to the Terayung floating restaurant.

For fishing lovers I know you know this place earlier kan haha… located just nearby 5 star resorts- Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort & Spa. They have their facebook page too : https://www.facebook.com/Restoran-Terapung-FazDla-10964855837765688/

Yes the name Restoran Terapung Fazdla

Located at the second junction (left) just before the resort entrance…you will see the place at your left too. Beware of the too friendly and not so friendly dogs haha…Last time I went here not for fishing just to have early dinner far away from hectic city. If you are lucky you can get the Majestic Mount Kinabalu from here for us it was cloudy that day about to rain.

So the wow factor here?

The fish we ordered is freshhhhhhh alive from the sea hahahaha….we ordered red snapper..price is affordable too! So don’t worry! Not just fresh ..I wonder who is the cook! The fish cook damn perfectly! Even the squid was delicious too! Tahan hati wanna finished it before the other dishes arrive on table haha! Just I wanna inform earlier…since this is on sea restaurant so you will have flies accompanying you eat…quite annoying for me but lucky the food is awesome!

Next time will come here to fish and have dinner or lunch haha! Keep up the good job dear COOK! Whoever you are! I know this place from my friend who is a chef that went and eat here. I believe her the moment she said sedap ne! Haha!

Take a look at our photos!

FURBALL HEAVEN

Looking for a place to hangout to ease some tension after work? If you love dogs then this is a right place for you to go!

Yes, Furball Heaven located at Plaza Lido. Upon entering the cafe we were greeted by the three adorable doggo---- Butter (Golden retriever), Xiao Ai(Shih Tzu) and Peanut(Toy poodle) (you can search for their Facebook Page here : https://www.facebook.com/FurballHeaven/

this is Butter

They actually have four but during our visit, another doggo named Logan (Husky) was undergoing surgery but now the tough guy already back in the cafe! Will visit there again soon! Hehe…You can also bring your doggo here (vaccinated). They not only have food for hooman haha but also your furry buddy. Price was worth the taste too! Those doggo there will know if the food on the table aint for them too! Smart kan! So don’t worry of them stealing your food haha.

Eventhough the drinks came out a bit slow but the moment we sipped it …. WE REALLY LOVE IT! Very kawww bilang orang Sabah! Even the waffle was very crunchy and scrumptious!! We already had our lunch before went there but we can still finish them haha so tasty! We ordered the waffle with ice cream, that chocolate heaven thingy drink haha forgot the name with my matcha green tea!!

While writing this feels like driving there now haha! Nasib I stayed far from Lido. Drooling* Paspun!

The chocolate drink even has a syringe full of chocolate haha - GILA I will say…so chocolateyyyyyyy! My matcha green tea was very kaw too! PERFECTO! Just look at the photo hahaha…

You can check their page for the menu! Oh they are closed on Thursday and open on other day from 11am-11pm ok???

MEE TAUHU TAWAU

So last time was heading to work but stopping by at Alam Mesra for breakfast. Was scanning around and saw this restaurant, ‘MEE TAUHU TAWAU’ not far from Maybank.

I thought why not try the food there. Curious to know how does it look like and taste like of course. Turns out my aunt was also curious about the restaurant.

So ordered mee tauhu Tawau and here how it looks like hehe…

To sum up I love the noodle its savoury and arent oily however for the tauhu its just like a plain tauhu with filling inside. For someone who loves chinese style tofu might not really gonna like it to be honest. The lada (spicy sauce) was a thumbs up! Love it. I wonder if it has any different with the mee tauhu at Tawau who knows it might be different kan?

They also serves other food here where you can see from the photo taken. Price was reasonable too. So not bad if you are looking for a new taste =) I saw theres another mee tauhu Tawau at Kingfisher.
