KOREAN BBQ SURIA SABAH

Helloooo KPOP Lover...

I'm not a KPOP or Korean Drama lover haha but I love food exploring so I dropped by this restaurant at Suria Sabah at Basement Floor together with KFC etc.

Korean food 

I tried the fried rice + orange juice while my food explore partner tried jerk beef + orange juice cost us around RM55 so it is quite expensive here but still okay lah...

My food explore partner doesnt really fancy the jerk beef but for me its still yummeh haha while we really love the fried rice! The seasoning everything so NGAM NGAM ...cukup rasa...YUMMEH! The soury orange juice compliment the fried rice in return =)

Will definitely come here again and try other food haha ~ Maybe the PIZZA eat using SPOON or the PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE & the COFFEE?

So I just knew there was a Vietnamese Food Outlet nearby my home XD OMG...

VINA BREAD & COFFEE (Kolombong; scroll through their fb and they did have another branch at Lintas but that one is NON HALAL branch)

However when I went there and taste the Pan Mee (Instant from packet as displayed) it doesnt differ much like the local Pan Mee hehe...but yes its still yummy to taste ^_^

What I fell in love here is the freshly baked baguette with the fillings choose by yourself.

So yummyyyy and crispy and fresh! Perfecto!

The Vietnamese coffee was also available here XD the one dripping to your glass from its coffee pot as you can see in the photo haha...

Same like the one you found at Pepper Mint though.

Worth to eat here =) Affordable price. Must try the baguette, OK? You can just buy the instant Vietnamese noodle there and cooked at home...but YOU MUST TRY THE baguette and even tapao if you want haha

Mongolian Yurt Wind Paradise Kundasang

Ever wonder how it feels like to stay inside a Mongolian Yurt? Kinda like a camp?

No need to go Mongolia for that XD Sabah has it! Yes at Kundasang located before Desa Farm...

MONGOLIAN YURT AKA WIND PARADISE! 

Can see whole Kundasang from there...However lemme remind the route to that place is very high +sloppy and narrow route so need a courageous and careful driver haha ..SERIOUSLY the route only fit one car at a time.

We didnt booked for the yurt as it cost RM300 that time per night but we did booked a standard room at RM170...we stayed there for two nights! The yurt according to the aunty there who is the in charged there was really friendly and helpful not to mention very motherly said the yurt is very coldddddd XD and eventhough it was a yurt it have its own bathroom attached ok? We did saw from outside haha and very spaciousss!

You can cook/BBQ there...all equipments were provided but cleanliness must be ensure or else penalty of RM50. A lot of BBQ balcony area there facing the Kundasang view. If you are lucky that its not raining you can do star gazing at night too! Unfortunately for us it was raining huuuuuuuu...parking is quite an issue here if you asked me. =) But that time only got two families including us.

Since it was very high, sloppy and narrow route there, I advised if you want to go buy anything or go anywhere do it before going back here...

I just love here...

The room we stayed at provided with heater..and works real fine hehe...XD the weather is very coldddd at night! Kitchen were shared with other guests..BBQ area I forgot got how many maybe around 4? Not sure anymore haha I was there on August 2014 XD Check their blog for more : Wind Paradise

Lazy to cook lunch? Lazy to go out and eat? Want a tasty economy rice / budget cake? Delivered in front house?

Haha I got two favourites seller which I repeatedly ordered from them...

Alice Recipes (Facebook)-Economy rice range from RM7-RM8 min order 2 pax if 1 pax + fuel charges, shes very quick in replying at whatsapp and facebook. I always get my order at 10.30-11am since I'm at Kolombong. She delivered from Likas, Sekolah, Kolombong, Damai, Dah Yeh, Luyang, Lido, Lintas, Hilltop, Towering, Penampang Servay, Bundusan, Kepayan, KK area (Other place can asked her) starting at 10.30am (Mon-Fri, sometimes Sat) 

Her menu for the week will always be ready on sunday ^_^ different menu on each day. I love all the food except for Cola Chicken (too spicy and gassy to me haha yes gassy- I just tried coz I love trying new food!)

Chenta Shaza (Facebook)-Budget cake

This...her cheese leleh 3in1 made me KETAGIH! Always want more and more haha...she also got more varieties of cheese leleh aka melted cheese cake e.g. oreo, hersheys, nestum, cheese, yam...

I can finished the cheese leleh 3in1 alone and maybe two pax hahahahaha...explained why I cant lose weight XD

She delivered right in front my house but time were varies depending on the traffic jam sometimes around 11am or 4pm =) But she'll inform and replied messages at whatsapp real fast! She delivered only on certain day in a week. Min order is RM20+ fuel charge RM3. The cheese leleh I ordered cost RM10 each so total RM23 ^_^ Worth the taste for a cake lover like me! I forgot all the other cake haha XD like seriously man...Once, she was not doing delivery I was so craving for the cake I looked for her vendor at handphone shop in front Fook Yuen Asia City if not mistaken the name is Riwins Communication but it was closed (upset)...She also got another vendor at Likas but not sure where =)

Saboroong Farmer's Cottage, Kundasang

Want to have big family gathering at Kundasang but confused where to stay?

So do us when we were planning big family gathering last May 30-31/5/2015. So my aunt managed to book a place which is new homestay at Kundasang not far from Kundasang Town.

SABOROONG FARMER'S COTTAGE...

Why farmer's? I assumed as the view we were facing apart from Mount Kinabalu were all vegetables farm! XD So greeennnnnn!

We booked all the 4 houses...5th house was currently under renovation that time used as reception house. We were altogether 24 adults & kiddo + 2 toddler + 1 infant. The cost ? Check out their blog! : SABOROONG FARMER'S COTTAGE

Two of the house were provided with tv (only one with ASTRO), all houses provided with small square refrigerator only middle house got the standard size refrigerator where we placed all our cakes, containers hehe. All houses provided with cooking equipment too.

The water that time came directly from mountain and no filter so cloudy for us but then its ok la coz it still a new place but hope in future will be installed filtration system hehe. Heater system also not quite stable =D hope to see improvement.

House beside the house under renovation was the biggest for me as it was really spacious! However I love this place~ ^_^

Also provided with BBQ equipment but the charcoal etc you need to bring your own lah.

How to look for it? Just follow the route to Desa Farm from the Kundasang Town..if you see a bright yellow houses at your left...thats it! Just beside Sinurambi Kundasang Homestay.

ROTI & CHAAI, METROTOWN

Feeling like eating Indian food but not at usual 24 hour Indian restaurant or we Sabahan called as Kedai Mamak? To taste the real taste of Indian food? Full of spices taste. Go to ROTI & CHAAI METROTOWN KOLOMBONG...I really lovin it. Even the owner was really friendly and recommending this and that haha.

The restaurant located at the same block with Sugarbun at Metrotown Kolombong.

I have came there twice =) During Ramadan month & after Raya.

Budget will be below RM50 for two people with two main meals and two drinks. So, affordable kan?

The staff there were really alert to customer and food served in a short time ^_^

I had a chance before during my previous job where I get to taste Indian food prepared by Indian Chef from India and guess what? They taste the same! XD They smell the same! So its not the usual Indian food there.

Heres some photo of what we had during the twice visits there...I always picked the naan varieties hehe XD and I love my masala tea but not sure if I got the photo...the smell of the drink...yummeh....haha

LITTLE HUT KUNDASANG

So stress with work? Want to have a short getaway? Kundasang? New place to stay instead of those common places? 

I recommend : LITTLE HUT MESILOU

I was here on my birthday this year 16/5/2015-17/5/2015 ^^, I always love looking for unique place to stay. Thankfully it was not fully booked on that date. This place is booked per house not per room meaning theres kitchen, dining place, place to sleep, balcony, bathroom. The houses design was what bring me there. Even the names were catchy:

HUT LELUYAA (The most recent built)
INCREDIBLE HUT

Here you can choose to BBQ/Steamboat, they have all the facilities for that. We chose to just cooked that day heee. There are utensils for cooking & eating too just need to bring all your ingredients haha. No icebox though but the weather was so cold even my cupcake with frosting and yesterday food were all still okay the next day. The water at the cooking area was also filtered and for bathing there was hot water so no worries^_^ This place is also clean! 

They provided us with small portable fan in case we feel hot/warm, tv with basic channels. Got DVD player but we didnt use it. There is hammock at the balcony but it kinda not in a good condition (Upset). The bed is really comfy and you can smell directly if someone is cooking and can have a peek from upstairs! I love this kind of design! My dreamhouse! But need to switch on the fan if someone is cooking and you are upstairs if not you can feel the heat plus the yummy smell XD 

When you opened your door house, you will be greeted with the chubby cute miawwww (cat) and with her baby during our time. They love our grilled lamb! XD So cute and  friendly miawww. We woke up the next morning at 7am with clear view of Mount Kinabalu too! The surrounding was also very beautiful and lucky you if you go there during flower blossom season (sadly not during our time). I just love this place and will definitely go here again SOON! Hope to have this kind of house design in future!
